My
faithful reader will have noticed, no doubt with a certain
wistfulness combined with righteous anger, that i wasn't here last
week. Last Sunday was Mother's Day – the busiest day of the year in
my industry and of course i had to work. Well, naturally it ruined my
entire week, but i expect and accept it every year. I do have to get
special permission from the Archbishop Of Canterbury and he's always
pretty good about it, but Lord, the paperwork....
If
last week's show was anything like this week's, my missing it is even
more regrettable, as i'm grading this week's an A+ for sure. The
inclusion of songs by Mama's Pride and Dan Fogelberg pretty much
guarantee that anyway, but the show would have merited an A+
regardless: a lot of much-loved music and not a single annoying song.
Incidentally,
KSHE listeners once voted Mama's Pride's “Blue Mist” the
greatest classic rock song of all time. I wouldn't go that far; in
fact i don't even think it's their greatest song, but man,
it's a good 'un.

age of 7.
