As you may or may not know, i live in Canada, and for some reason KSHE doesn't stream their audio to here. I have to connect via a VPN in order to spoof an American address. According to whatismyipaddress.com, i was listening from Staten Island, New York. (I still haven't sorted out my VPN woes: i listened using the Opera browser and its built-in VPN.)
Quotation Of The Week: Dick Cavett ~ "Music bypasses the brain and goes straight to the heart. I wish my life had more of it."
I know, i know, i'm very late posting this. Uncharcteristically, there's been a lot going on in my life lately. It's a tough one to grade this week, dear reader.
I'm torn between “B” and “B+”. There was some great music for sure but also a couple of awful tracks (Pavlov's Dog and the dreaded REO Schpeedwagon, of course), and the song by Lucifer's Friend was far too long at around thirteen minutes.
The show's highlight for me was definitely the track by Mama's Pride – i love the double-lead-guitar playing at the end. There was also one of my favourite songs by The Little River Band and great tracks by Foreigner, J. Geils, Yes, Bob Dylan and Fleetwood Mac (featuring Christine McVie, the best vocalist they ever had IMHO).
Just a couple of comments. I still say that Celebrate Me Home is a Christmas song but Uman disagrees with me and plays it all year round. Well, he's the professional, all i know is what i hear. Also, i understand that the Derek & The Dominos album is highly regarded but i think it's a drug-fuelled mess.
