Quotation
du jour ~ Les Dawson: Mind
you, I've always been musical... Mother used to sit me on her knee
and I'd whisper, 'Mummy, Mummy, sing me a lullaby do,' and she'd say:
'Certainly my angel, my wee bundle of happiness, hold my beer while I
fetch me banjo.'
It
was a pretty miserable listening experience this morning, folks. Not
because of the music itself, which was mostly as good as ever. No, it
was my Internet connection playing silly buggers again: frequent
drop-outs and i know i missed at least two songs.
It
was a fairly frustrating morning altogether, cyberspatially. A couple
of fairly large downloads (the usual music & porn) kept failing,
as did several uploads, and even remote content in emails wasn't
loading. If i ever move to St Louis, which i fully intend to do when
i win a few millions in a lottery (which is unlikely to happen as i
never buy tickets), one reason will be that i'll be able to listen to
this show without a DSL connection.
Also,
it never fails to stagger me that, after years of writing this blog,
mt typing skills aren;t omproving .... Anywat, her's today's
