Quotation du jour ~ Stevie
Wonder: Music,
at its essence, is what gives us memories. And the longer a song has
existed in our lives, the more memories we have of it.
Listening from Clifton, New Jersey
again this week. Good choice: it's warmer there than it is here and
i'm fed up with the f****ng cold. It was a seamless listening
experience – no problems with connectivity at all – and, as
usual, the highlight of my week.
Gosh, two songs in a row by bands from
St Louis this morning: Pavlov's Dog and Mama's Pride. What a
difference, though: the former was probably the worst song of the
show, the latter one of the best – although there was a lot of
competition: quite a few songs i love today, including one i love so
much i had tears of happiness welling up when Uman played it. (I'll
give you a hint: it wasn't the song by The Who.) Yes, 'twas a good
'un, and, as so often happens, the end of the program took me by
surprise.
This may suggest the song that had me
on the verge of being lachrymal:
