KSHE KLASSICS SHOW, July 28th, 2019

Quotation Of The Week ~ Bart Inman: We offer a complete selection of commercial heating and air conditioning services for small businesses located throughout the entire St. Louis metro area in Missouri and Illinois.

[As you may or may not know, i live in Canada, and for some reason KSHE doesn't stream their audio to here; i have to connect via a VPN, to spoof a non-Canadian address. This week, according to https://whatismyipaddress.com/ , i was listening from Clifton, New Jersey again.]

Ah, yes, another four hours' worth of ads, with the occasional interruption by a classic (or “Klassic”) rock song. Maybe they're what i should be commenting on?

Someone complained on Facebook recently that Bart Inman (owner of Bart Inman Air Heating & Cooling https://www.inmanair.com/ ) had a really boring voice. I disagree – i like his voice, he has a rather lazy drawl, admittedly, but i don't find it tiresome in the least.

Tom Shane, of The Shane Jewelry Company (https://www.shaneco.com/ ), though – that's a different story: his voice is so tedious i could almost fall asleep. Then there's the unknown woman with the (fake?) Bronx accent in the spots for Frank Leta Honda
( https://www.frankletahonda.com/) although that's a bit different – her voice isn't boring, merely irritating.

Then of course there's Arnold, from The Good Feet Store (with branches in Creve Coeur and Shiloh, Illinois) (https://www.goodfeet.com/st-louis/) -- i've always enjoyed his ads, ever since i started listening to KSHE all those years ago.

As for the music, oh, it was pretty good. I'm grading this week's show an “A+” primarily because of the great Mama's Pride track, although though i can't honestly say there was much else that i actually loved. Oh, for sure there were a few – Todd Rundgren, for instance, and that Brownsville Station number is a tremendous amount of fun. At least there was nothing that made me want to tear the headphones off and stomp on them and, as usual, the commercials – er, i mean, the songs – were over far too soon.
