Quotation
du jour ~ Stephen Fry: Love in all eight tones and all five semitones
of the word's full octave.
[As you may or may
not know, i live in Canada, and for some reason KSHE doesn't stream
their audio to here and i have to connect via a VPN, to spoof a
non-Canadian address. This week, according to
https://whatismyipaddress.com/
i was listening from Santa Clara, California
again.]
Yes,
i know i'm late getting this week's post up. I've had a rough couple
of days, moan, groan. Work-related stress, plus that terribly 21st
century problem, lack of time. But this week's program was definitely
time well spent. I'm grading it an A.
Lots
and lots of wonderful classic rock there and in fact the only song
that annoyed me was one by, of all things, a St Louis band, Pavlov's
Dog (i generally love all things St Louisan). Their singer, David
Surkamp, has possibly the most irritating voices of all time –
worse, even, than Roger Chapman's. He, at least, had better material
to work with.
I
can't possibly choose a highlight, there was just so much wonderful
schtuff. Here's the playlist, but before that there's a pic of The
Snake Charmer, an absolutely wonderful Bengali musician and i can
guarantee that she'll never be played on KSHE:
